K Laser

‘Discover the power of K◦Laser for foot pain, verrucae and fungal nails’

At Sussex Total Foot Care we use an innovative piece of kit called K-Laser to treat conditions such as verrucae and fungal nails. The clever science behind the K-Laser promotes faster healing and a reduction in pain.

Fungal Nails

K-Laser therapy can help with fungal nails (onychomycosis) by using a focused, high-intensity laser to target and destroy fungal infections beneath the nail. It is a safe and non-invasive treatment that stimulates cells and improves blood flow to the area to promote quicker healing.

Verrucae

K-Laser therapy can help treat verrucae (plantar warts) by using laser energy to target and destroy the virus (human papillomavirus, or HPV) responsible for the wart. The laser generates heat that penetrates the skin, targeting the wart tissue and killing the virus-infected cells. This helps break down the wart structure over time.

New Patient Assessment

New patient assessment

All new routine care patients will receive an appointment of up to 45 minutes. Your new patient appointment will be with one of our clinical team to assess the condition of their feet and discuss any recurrent issues. Once this is complete the agreed treatment will be carried out during this appointment. The goal of this appointment is to provide maintenance of healthy feet through care of nails, hard skin, corns, fungal nails and ingrown toenails. Skin care and advice can be provided for conditions such as Verrucae, Athlete’s foot, fissures and Psoriasis. Any management will be provided in this appointment followed by a short foot massage with cream to make to feel light on your feet afterwards.

Fungal toenails

Fungal toenails

Fungal nails are a common problem, which are characterised by a green/yellow/brown/black colouring and a brittle, flaky texture. Our team will assess your nail/s and provide the most effective course of action for treatment, which may include topical treatment advice or if severe, complete removal.

Biomechanical assessment

If you suffer with general lower limb discomfort, sharp pains or reoccurring foot/ankle problems when exercising, there could be a simple cause which may be easy to solve with help from our clinical team.

At Sussex Total Foot Care, we carry out detailed biomechanical assessments which check the lower limbs for any issues which may be causing pain, particularly if linked to a sports injury. We also check for any abnormalities and causes of pain, arch height, heel health and joint strength. We would advise that you can wear shorts or comfortable trousers so that we can assess your knees/lower limbs as you move.

This assessment is divided into 4 sections:

1. Medical history and history of the pain/injury
2. Non-Weightbearing assessment
3. Weightbearing assessment
4. Gait Analysis

When our assessments are completed, a tailor-made treatment plan to you is devised. This may consist or rehabilitation of the injury/pain, exercise regimens, footwear recommendations and to consider a prescription of appliances such as orthotics or insoles. Referrals to other healthcare practitioners may be required if further specialist advice is needed.

£125 for first consultation up to 60 minutes assessment, £60 follow up/reviews up to 30 minutes.
